Calm Sums
A calm, distraction-free way for children to practise number facts. One question at a time. No points, no streaks, no coins: just the sum and four answers. A round is ten or twenty cards and takes as long as it takes.
What is in it
- Three decks. Times tables from 2× to 12×, dividing (the same facts backwards), and adding and taking away up to 9999.
- Learns what your child knows. Facts they miss come round again later in the round. Facts they know come back a few days later, so they stay known.
- Shows what the numbers mean. Every times and divide question draws its amount as rows of dots, so a fact not yet remembered can still be counted.
- Help after a wrong answer. It shows what was picked beside the answer, counts up in steps, then lets your child try again. No buzzer, no red cross.
- Made to be read. Each child picks their own colours (Night, Cream or Pastel), letters (Standard, Lexend or OpenDyslexic), larger words and wider spacing. Questions can be read aloud.
- Check practice. An opt-in rehearsal of the Year 4 multiplication tables check: 25 questions, 6 seconds each, typed answers. Normal rounds are never timed.
